Generous Holiday Challenge

Hello Friends, Family, and Acquaintances!

This year I am doing something I've never done before, and your participation will help determine the impact of my contribution. I realized that there are many people who don't get to enjoy the same quality of Christmas and the Holiday Season as I do; so I want to help provide the resources for a life-defining holiday season which those people might not otherwise have.

There is great felt need in our communities for life's basic necessities/ and this time of the year is a great time to express and experience the generosity of the season. Through generous giving, we find fulfillment by adding value to our own lives, and to the lives of those living within our community.

This is what I'm doing: I will be donating $50 of non-perishable food, new clothes, toys, household cleaners, and items of personal hygiene to the Sky Valley Food Bank, a local non-profit organization, and a resource for low-income families and other families in need. I will then donate half the items at the donation bin located within Monroe Fred Meyer, and the rest of the supplies I will donate at a donation bin at my apartment complex, Morning Run Apartments.

Your part in this: For each person who matches my contribution of $50, by donating to a local non-profit organization or family in need, I will add an additional $10 to my contribution up to $250. If you are one of those 20 people, together we will raise over $1250 in supplies to share with our local communities and express a generosity that is sometimes hard to see during the Holiday Season. The supplies you would donate could include: Non-perishable food, new clothes or new toys, household cleaners (laundry detergent, dish-washing soap), and items of personal hygiene (toilet paper, soap, toothpaste, etc.)

Most non-profit organizations need to recieve donations by December 18th, to be able to share them by Christmas to low-income families and families in need. If you have questions, need more information, or If you would like to be one of the 20 people who would like to participate in this Generous Holiday Challenge, let me know!

I think it would be fun to share our stories of generosity, so take pictures of yourself, and your family as you donate the supplies, and celebrate our cause by sharing them via FaceBook, and MySpace!!!

Happy Holidays, I hope to hear from you soon,
